BRIEF
Create a new sitting system for the Fablab of Turin, a workshop area for makers,
students and developers to create and design projects of any type.

METHODOLOGY
Start analyzing the space to understand the needs, the potential, and the weaknesses
that we found in the disorder and the presence of already a lot of material not used.
REUSE WHAT WE HAVE
The office chairs do not respond to the spaces, they are used for many actions but not the movements of a workshop where people need to stand up and get down quickly.
PROTOTYPE
We develop RE-STOOL by laser cutting, gluing, and drilling the pieces.
USABILITY
We test RE-STOOL in the Fablab to test the usability and the movements of the makers, give support to everyday actions and response to the space: we develop easy solutions for all the pieces of the original office chair.
FINAL RESULT
We develop RE-STOOL by reusing an office chair, in addition, we propose other options like creating a wooden chart and a tool organizer using the wheels and the cover of the metal base of the previous chair.
We develop:
1. A book collecting our process and studies
2. A manual of instructions
3. Files where the pieces we project can be editable through the use of Grasshopper in Rhinoceros
